I am an outdoorsman from Wisconsin.  I live to hunt and fish with my kids.  I booked a half day shark trip with Captain Dan on our family vacation to the keys.  It was far and away the best fishing experience of my life.  From the moment we got to our spot we had constant action for the full four hours on black tip and black nose sharks landing 11 of 16 and often having multiple on at a time.  These sharks were up to 80 pounds.  The five we lost spooled us so I asked Captain Dan what they were and how we catch them and he said we’d have to bring out the really heavy tackle to slow them down.  I booked another half day with him to try it.  We started out that half day catching a bunch of snapper for the cooler and bait fish.  Then he put in the shark rods.  Again, constant action but this time they were huge.  We ended up catching 3 Lemon sharks, a Nurse shark, and a Goliath Grouper.  The sharks were all over 8’ long and 250 lbs and the grouper was pushing 500 lbs.  This was the absolute best thing ever.  I’ve caught a lot of muskies and salmon in my life and these sharks made them feel like minnows.  Captain Dan is extremely knowledgable and a blast to fish with.  I can’t wait to get back out there with him again.  He has my highest recommendation.

My wife, 2 kids and I have never been fishing before but Daniel was brilliant with us. He took us to a stunning spot and talked us through everything we needed to know. We caught a 5ft shark on the first cast and proceeded to catch at least another 10 big shark! We all caught, handled and released shark and got some amazing photos. So glad we booked and will definitely book again if we ever come back to the Keys. We live in London so a good 10 hour flight and 3 hour drive to the keys, but my son is already insisting we have to come back for his birthday 😂

Captian Dan took my wife, mom and I out for a 3 hour sunsey shark trip and it will be a lifelong memory. We did not know what we were getting ourselves into when we decided to go shark fishing, but we had action the whole time. As a client who asks a lot of questions, Dan was very kind and knowledgeable in answering them all. I’ve been on a few charters before, but this is one I would recommend to anyone going to the Florida Keys!

Captain Dan is the MAN!!! We wanted to catch big fish and he did not disappoint hooking up to our first shark before we knew it. Felt like we were on a family boat with all the help/ advice we got and the connection we made. Highly recommend to anyone looking to catch big fish and have an unforgettable experience, the fishing was so good we had to book the next evening with captain Dan aswell to get hooked back up!
100% recommend, too bad it was our last night in key west or we would be going back out tomorrow. I’ll be coming back next year just for the fishing with Dan

Captain Dan is an outstanding charter captain who truly knows water. He was professional, patient, and made sure everyone felt safe while still having a great time. Althought the weather did not fully cooperate his knowledge of the water and attention to detail really set him apart.  He was able to get us on a HUGE Lemon shark.
