He lost the first one on the fight. But as your husband said it was on him for not fallowing my instructions on how to fight a tarpon. Even though I told him not to hold the line against the rod and try to horse the tarpon towards the boat. He then allowed me to coach him and landed the second one. A shame he left his prescription glasses on the boat, just to have to come back to get them an hour later after finishing the trip. Glad you enjoyed it 👍

Had a great time with you guys too!! Unfortunately we lost two BIG tarpons as they shook off the hooks from their mouths during today’s trip!! Good that you managed to land a nice snapper. With over 40 years of experience and sometimes tarpons and all fish species can be finicky and stubborn and you need to put more time to make it happen as I was willing to stay a little longer. We have 4 tidal changes in a 24 hour period so Tarpon change their feeding patterns continuously. The boat that we went out we fished out today is a state-of-the-art Silver King fully rigged and equipped with a brand new 2022 Yamaha outboard , any experienced fisherman will give that a 5 star. It’s very rare but sometimes the full moon can have a BIG impact on the tarpons behavior and appetite. As a professional guide there’s one thing I cannot do and that is to order the fish to bite.
