Captain Ethan will go in the ocean when the weather permits but won’t go out if the seas are going to be too rough. It was blowing out of the east at 12 to 15 knots that day and there were 3 to 4 foot seas. These conditions are not conducive to an enjoyable fishing trip in the ocean. The decision was in no way related to wanting to save gas. Captain Ethan’s decision to fish inshore was the correct decision and I am glad he was able to find some sharks for you to catch.
