Remember your are fishing and not catching as last year we landed 15 dorados during the same time period and only 4 this time. 6 hour trip is good. Let the captain and crew do their work and make sure the have bait!!

Pick the right boat and captain, there are lots of tourist traps for “fishing” in San Carlos. We went with catch22 and we are glad we did, the captain owns a shop in the marina and is very knowledgeable and experienced.

Forget all the rest. This is the Fishing charger you want to be on. Eight yellowfin in four hours. The crew was amazing. We learned so much from them. We’ve never had fish cleaned so well before.

If chasing sailfish book the 8 hr trip to give you enough time to get to the deep water or if you are limited to 4hr time go bottom fishing

Wear sunscreen and/or protective clothing. Even if you are used to the sun the reflection off the water will get you double sun. Also don’t forget the Dramamine.

Recommendation to newbies.....pack lots of water, some prepackaged snacks, and have fun! Even if you didn't catch any fish....enjoy life and the beautiful day you will have out on the water.

The boat in the pictures doesn’t match the shitty one they take you on.. we all got headaches from the exhaust leaking from the engine.. not what we expected.

Go to port to find a boat and captain for your fishing experience. NEVER pay online!!!!
