If your catfish in June, make sure you’re going with someone that knows catfish. They’re coming off of spawn something I learned today and if you don’t know where to find them, you gonna have a long day suntanning. The bites generally a little slower within 30 minutes of water temperature and seeing where bait fish were, he knew exactly where to put us to put us on fish.

Captain let us know the big and small catfish we’re mixing more than normal with the spawn so it was harder to target the big boys but we landed lots of healthy 10 to 15 pounders. We were fishing for fillets to eat so it was perfect

Best fishing is in the early morning or at sunset. We are in hot drought conditions so the fish are deep and not moving during the heat of the day, but Captain Mark knows how to get the bait to them to catch them,

The big cats are just coming into post spawn. It’s the perfect time to catch a big one hungry.

June is spawning season making fishing a little tougher but they are still there.
