What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Blue Ridge, Georgia for the first time?

As a first time angler, the only thing that I regret not doing was asking the captain to show me how to cast the line and/or allow me to bait the hook myself. Otherwise, there's really nothing more to prepare for other than a great time.

It was surprisingly hot the day we were out. In the 90s… Which felt amazing to be in the river, but the sun was wicked hot. We think the fish were a little slow to bite because of the heat, but things picked up towards the end of our outing

Middle of the summer can be slow for fishing spring and fall tend to be the best times for the best bite

Worth every penny to have an experienced guide. The float trip was so much nicer than just a wade trip.

I would start with a guided outing to learn where the fish are and what the fish a biting. When you see it with your own eyes, it is different than reading about it on the internet.

Yes it was a great time!! Fish were all keepers except maybe 2 out of the 20 fish caught

Just be prepared to have the time of your life. The fishing is good and the scenery is amazing.
