Just listen to the captain. If you need help just ask him or his crew mate's. Also the crew members super awesome. They will help put bait on the hooks a take off the fish when you bring them in. 1 tip “Never” pull the fishing rod up just reel so you don’t lose your fish. And if you catch a big fish keep on reeling make sure that the tip of the rod is up. So the fish don’t go into the rocks. That’s all I have but I will definitely go again soon.

Sunscreen, cold drinks, Dramamine, snacks, sunglasses/hat. Definitely dress for the weather!
I feel this trip is doable with kids, but for 8 hours, my girls would have not done well on a boat that long. They are 11 and 8. Therefore, they stayed back with my mom and they had a day visiting the Aquarium :)

Be prepared for weather change. Take warm clothing, and plenty of sun screen. Listen closely to the captain and 1st mate as they give instruction. Concentrate on what you're doing and you should catch fish.

We tried fishing on the piers but had very little luck. We also tried an inshore fishing trip and caught a few small fish but nothing we could keep. We decided to try a longer, deep sea fishing trip and caught many fish and even have fish to bring home.

Was very hot and red tide made the fishing tough, however the Captain and crew did everything possible and fish were caught. If you want to catch fish and have a crew that goes above and beyond, this Captain and crew are top notch.

If fishing for the 1st time, bring some crackers, (little kids - an extra change of clothes), maybe a towel to wipe your hands. Please ask questions - some of the fish you may catch maybe dangerous to take off the hook so please ask the captain or crew before doing that. Enjoy the scenery, be mindful of your neighbors sitting near you and have a great time!

Aimee Chevalier
Between me and my friend we probably caught like 20 fish at least. The boat had to throw some back because we had so many.

Mark Manger
Be mindful early season it's cool in the morning till it warms up so dress appropriately for a boat ride

Lisa Avellino
Weather can still be unpredictable but a good Captain like Joshua was able to make adjustments to accommodate

Kristi Carlson
Great time to fish! January is cooler, but there's no shortage of fish to catch, or dolphins to watch!

Shannon Dobel
We had near shore fishing as well as in the bay. Was a nice day. P.s. wasn't what we were expecting, but then again, we didn't really know what to expect. Was worth the adveture and fun we had.

Claire Lipsett
Listen to the captain, he knows what he is doing. Very knowledgeable. Good equipment. Boat is small so pack light equipment wise, he has everything you need bar food/drink anyway.

Mike Lewis
Coming from Inland lakes where you often get nothing, the amount of bites and catches is crazy high. Just dint expect to be reeling in sea monsters

Marilyn Duncan
Bring your own equipment if you can, when you only have 2-3hrs to fish you don’t want to lose any time learning the feel of their rigs. I missed lots of strikes in the first 45min or so.

Glenn Pamperin
Probably not all we got was small fish. And mst of the people on the boat didn’t get anything. Although they tried to keep us on fish. Thanks

Sadegh Shamehdi
Yes ??
PS-
One thing about the children question. Older children the trip is fine, I would say 10 and up. No smaller children.

Niamh Walch
It was cold when we went out but we didn't realise that it's difficult to get them to take bait when the fish are cold. We got some small ones but the big ones wouldn't bite.

Robert Powell
The weather was great but offshore breeze prevented a full run of bottom fishing. Trawling is just not my thing. Only keepers were smallish Spanish mackerel and gray snapper.

Sarah Carstensen
If you might get sea sick bring medication (take ahead of time), don't eat a big greasy meal or binge alcohol the night before. Sunscreen, a towel, and jacket/ sweatshirt are helpful.

Any day on the water is great. It’s even better when the fish are biting and the dolphin are jumping.

Joan Hurley
I highly recommend Captain Joe— friendly, professional, helpful, and he brought us to the fish!

Kim Santoscoy
St Pete is beautiful. We were very happy with the area and the vibe. Can’t wait to come back.

Fred Jury
We went mid day but if you can get a morning spot it would most likely be better I assume.

Michael Schilz
Show up ready to catch fish. Bring a few snacks and drinks & have a great time.

Try to go out in spring and fall. The water temp is at record high right now in July.

The party boat is a great and less expensive way to take the whole family out on the water
