There were four us and we all caught something and most of us caught multiple fish. Many different kinds of fish also! Made it fun!

If you are looking for a captain to take you out of Crystal River a highly recommend Captain Dave's stump

Stacey Bellis
We caught smaller, but good eating fish. For those that want to catch larger fish you need to go further out into the Gulf.

Bobby Glennon
Since everything is weather dependent, I think we made the best of the conditions. The captain found good spots and we caught fish.

Being a cooler with what you want to drink, hooded fishing shirt, sun block, tip $, sweatshirt if early morning, and finally a good attitude of catching fish ?

Robert Buderus
Check your seasons and contact Bobby if you are after a certain species of fish so that he can best guide you for the appropriate times and conditions.

Lou Mancuso
Caught 30 fish in 7 hours
What more could you ask for?
How about our captain singing country
Got that too.

Jeannette Cimo
Wear sun screen and if you think you might get sea sick take Dramamine before going. Have a great time and enjoy. It was great ?.

Jacob Bean
Keep lines tight on bottom to feel bite stand near middle of boat for less up down movement. The bite is gentle. Real up when you feel it.

It's fishing....some days are better than others. You never know whether you're going to get a bunch or nothing at all...luckily we got a couple.

Ed Cann
We went fishing on Lake Panasoffkee with was fantastic for largemouth bass
My 10 year old grandson caught a 6lb 10oz fish and was really well looked after by Captain Leo
Fantastic day

Tides matter as does wind. If the weather isn't on your side it's going to be a slow day. When you can't go offshore it's still worth it but lower your expectations

The fishing here is pretty good all year around...but if you're looking for stud reds or snook, wait until the heat of fall...September/October is off the hook!

For scalloping, be patient. Sometimes it was 10 minutes between when we saw scallops, but then you might find a few back to back!

Be aware of lots of other boats if snorkeling. Let your guide teach you how to spot scallops if scalloping.

It's fishing. Some days fish bite better than others. The variety of fish in the same area is amazing.

Wesley Remley
Be patient with weather and bite, and you won't be disappointed! Crystal River (and the greater Nature Coast) is a very special place! Respect, appreciate, and enjoy!

Bring wide brimmed head covering and long sleeve shirt for protection from the sun. Stay hydrated with water or Gatorade. Bring your camera!

Check the tidal charts. Captain Bryan can help with that. Water level can get your boat into more areas where fish hide and wait for their prey. That translates to good fishing.

Look up Capt Mike. May can be transitional and the bite can be slow. We should have come in April when it was cooler and the trout bite was hot.

Fish Hunter Tours would be our recommendation for first timers. Captain Bryan builds a quick rapport with his clients. Gives GREAT instructions on how to handle whatever species you on.

Look at weather and tides before selecting a day. These trips are expensive so better to not go than have a bad experience.

Come prepared for Fun in Sun, hats n long sleeves a good idea on sunny days. Light snacks good idea if you get seasick easy on offshore runs. Research your Capt and boat... Have FUN

Yes, but be careful of the oyster bars if running your own boat. They will take out a prop or lower unit in a heart beat.

Water is nice and warm in the summer. Keep up the sunscreen and watch the weather because it can change in an hour.
