Dress for high humidity conditions and don’t stress the heat. Enjoy the setting! Investigate the different fishing seasons. Puerto Jiménez is a world class fishing destination, but be realistic, it’s still fishing. Be mindful of the picture that high end advertising paints. Be clear on final payment options during reservation process. Enjoy! Pura Vida??

Make sure you have cash to pay captain; if you want mahi mahi the best time of year is fall, otherwise amazing fish year round

We fished inshore as it was a rough day outside. We were more than happy with Gerardo as a guide. Lunch was great. Whole day very fun! And it rained all day?

Its hot.... sun protection and cooling off in cold water is essential. Be prepared for the hours of trolling

Plan for the half day trip if fishing inshore. Fishing slowed down around noon.

Catch fish you want to eat then spend the rest of the time trolling for Roosterfish.
