What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Quinlan, Texas for the first time?

We were fortunate for August in Texas. We had a rainy, cloudy day with much cooler temperature than normal so others experience may be different than others.

Don’t get caught up trying to catch a particular species of fish. Sometimes you just have to catch what is catchable. Catching is fun!

Our guide put us on fish multiple times and we caught fish throughout our trip. Captain was friendly and knowledgeable. Boat was well equipped. Enjoyed our time and will go again.

Started out cold and windy but improved during the day. Lots of fish to be caught!

Be patient. Fishing is hit and miss but a great guide will make every effort to put you on fish!
