Make sure you know which fish are biting, and where, especially if taking fish home is important to you. The surface temperature of Lake Erie was just too warm this August for the walleye. Still a lot of fun, though!!

Do a little research on what fish are active at different times of the year. Dress for cold weather in early spring.

Fishing was a bit slow at first but picked up around 9:00 AM. It was a post-cold don’t day though so normally the fishing would be even better.

The fishing is plenteous and exciting. However, prepare for swift currents, a tremendous undertow, and do not take the river and lakes lightly.

Fishing is real good it's the weather that is messed up. Do not like the confusing road system , it it very confusing so have a good set of maps to keep from getting lost in the road system.
