We decided to take our parents fishing this weekend. Although the weather was a bit windy and cloudy, we were safe throughout the trip. It was our first time fishing in the sea, and it was a great experience overall. However, we did all get a bit seasick, so if you’re considering this, be prepared! A big thank you to the captain and crew—they were fantastic. We would definitely do this again.

Good location and good little spots right off the harbor. Less time driving more time fishing! Stripers werent really hitting yet, but the blackfish were on.

We fished over on the Long Island side near Eaton's Neck, then Norwalk area but not Stamford. Norwalk fishing is "hit or miss" depending on baitfish in the area at the time.

If you are coming from elsewhere in Connecticut, be prepared for traffic on your way in. Leave early enough to have buffer time for your buffer.

The sound is a great fishery, but sometimes the bite is not what we hope. Enjoy your trip, your companions and your time on the water!

Easy in and out marina, fish accessible almost immediately = more fish in the boat and less time cruising from location to location. Good for kids, and first time and casual anglers.
