What a great Saturday morning, I have been busy getting the boats all shined up and ready for peak season which is coming up in one month. I was looking back at old posts from May of 2018 and reminisced of how good the spring season is for Chinook salmon. Below I have shared some to highlight how good fishing is in May!

Its that time of Year again Hello Island Pursuit Community, It is that time of year when we start looking forward to a spring and summer filled with sunshine, big bites and happy customers. We are reaching out to our community to encourage you to start thinking of your 2019 fishing days earlier then later. We are already receiving bookings and inquiries for many of our peak weekends. Remember fishing in the Comox Valley is good all year but see our most predictable and consistent fishing May - June for both Chinook Salmon and Bottom fish. Latest Report The Fishing has been good this winter with all of our charters coming in with some salmon for dinner. February and March have brought us some great weather for fishing with calm, cold sunny days. We operate year round out of the Comox Valley. So come out and enjoy our heated cabin, good fishing, amazing wildlife and scenery this winter! We are very happy to announce that we are now the top rated tour and thing to do in the Comox Valley. We have many of you to thank! May and June As many of you know May and June are known as the most predictably consistent months for fishing in the Comox Valley. We see great fishing for salmon, bottom fish and crab during this time. Island Pursuit now has a co-op of guides to support larger groups. Here are some of our latest reports! **hidden content** It was a fabulous day on the water for a winter PM charter. The boys got there work done early today and thought they would come out for a fish. Flat calm water, sun out and the fish were biting! Its was a brisk day on the water today, the heater did its job and kept us toasty warm. We had plenty of action once we got on em. Another full limit of winter Chinooks for captins Chris and Mike out of Comox. Thanks for holding the fort down and staying on em while I head up north Geoducking. Here are some of the reviews! It is now the last month of our peak season here in the Comox Valley. September turns out to be a month you don't want to miss out on in the local waters. The first 2 weeks of September is often when we catch the biggest and highest percentage of large mature Chinooks heading south to their respected rivers. While fishing you also have the chance to catch many of the local feeder Chinooks, Northern Coho, Sockeye, Pink and Chum salmon all in one day! Since our last report in August we had two of the best weeks of fishing followed by four slow days only to have it turn back on three days ago. This is typical for this time of year, we have a week of great weather ahead and the smoke has been gone for weeks! The wildlife has been amazing these past few weeks. Many Humpback whales, Porpoises, Seals, Sealions and many birds all feasting on the huge biomass of bait living in our area.
