We left the dock at 9:00 AM for a two-hour trip. It eas 75 degrees, blue sky and 10mph SW wind. Within 5 minutes of dropping the first line, we caught a flounder, then a Kingfish, then Sand-Sharks, then a flounder…lots of fun with catching and some misses for this group of hard-working first-timers. As far as fishing trips go, this was about as good as it gets, in everyway.

We started this morning and it was 58 degrees! ? Headed out to the ocean and caught fish; came inside and caught fish. We watched several boats head out to the reefs, only to return 45 minutes later and fish inside. Water is clearing up, but it’s far from clear. So, switching up baits is important. I had a great father-son fishing team, today! It didn’t take long for either to master the catching part. I hope to see you guys back!!! —Capt. Chris ???

In our quick trip, we hit a calm ocean. We caught croakers and a weakfish, and decided to move. As we moved there was a pod of dolphins jumping six feet out of the water! What a show! We caught a few more fish and headed back inside to catch some flounder. A lot to see and do in just two hours. A fine fishing trip in every way! ????

I took out this father-n-son team for a Birthday celebration. Water is still kinda cloudy, but it’s improving. The bite is improving, too. Aside from catching flounder, sharks and croakers, we started off watching a pod of dolphins hunting for their fish. Today was all-around perfect…no humidity, dolphins, blue sky, 5 mph wind, some fish, great people and a Birthday celebration fishing trip between a dad and his boy. I love it!!! ????

We took off outta Somers Point/OC area gliding across flat, saltwater to GE Inlet. We fished hard, but the bite was OFF. We tried Seaview Harbor and picked up a Kingfish and missed a few. Eventually, we ended back in Ship’s Channel a caught a few doggies and a fat flounder. My crew kept at it and never waivered. Some rock music set the tone for a nice father-son fishing trip. Both picked up dome foshing pointers, too. A successful trip with no ? on the boat! ?

Hurricane Erin junked up the water and crushed the bite for today. That was unfortunate. Even fishing one of the reef proved no escape (for $500–$750). We did catch something, though. And, we had dolphins swim right next to vessel. On the very positive side, I shared two hours with great return customers (that even brought me a coffee flavored cigar!) that enjoyed celebrating their father’s Birthday. We listened to 90’s classic rock and enjoyed a quiet morning on the inlet that got very busy by 10:30AM. Thank you Hailey, for booking again!!!
