Chinook fishing is now open!
July 12, 2023
Coho has been strong, but we have been looking forward to the state opening the chinook fishery! As of the 13th we are able to target chinook salmon on light tackle! No down riggers here for chinook. Lingod Season
May 23, 2023
Lingcod fishing has been decent this year. Some days they are biting other days we have to work hard for the fish. There is a one fish per day per angler limit on these sea dragons. Lingcod are a slot limit fish. Meaning retention of fish is bracketed between 26" and 36". Outside of this slot the fish must be released for the future. Its a good rule for Puget Sound as the population of western washing has increased dramatically the past 20 years. If you head out to the coast of Washingtion to Westport the biomass of bottom fish is orders of magnitude higher than Puget Sound. We are looking forward to the Resident Coho Salmon opener June 1st
