Spanish Mackerel are here nearshore in numbers! Right now its hard not to catch your limit! Sheepshead have continued to bite! Bluefish are also mixed in with the Spanish. Water temp is now 67 degrees.

Mackerel continue to be the number 1 catch. Lots of action trolling for them, reeling them in one after another. Also, bottom fishing has been producing lots of action catching Black Sea bass and the occasional shark. Water temp continues to creep up hitting 63 degrees this morning.

Spanish Mackerel have moved in on the nearshore reefs, along with quality sheepshead. I expect King Mackerel to arrive soon as the water continues to warm. Surface temperature was 61 degrees. Trolling for the mackerel was the best technique, and the sheepshead preferred the live bait bottom fishing. The action is non-stop right now with the fish migrating north.

Water has warmed for mackerel to be hanging on the reefs. Trolling was the style of fishing that paid off today. With the Spanish showing up usually means the king mackerel will also move into the area. Look for fishing to only get better as time goes on!
