July 9, 2023
Weekly fishing report Galveston, TX July 9th In this weeks fishing report, we have a tale that will make you reel with laughter! The weather was scorching hot, and so were the catches out on the water. Offshore, the red snapper were putting on quite the show, flaunting their vibrant colors. Meanwhile, inshore, the big black drum were strutting their stuff like they were auditioning for a fishy fashion show. These drummers had rhythm, and they weren't afraid to shake their tail fins to the beat of the ocean. But wait, the excitement didn't stop there. Sharks were crashing the party, doing their best impersonation of Jaws. They were the ultimate party crashers. It was a real-life thriller, and the fishermen couldn't help but hum the iconic "dun-dun" theme song as they reeled in their lines. And let's not forget about the stingrays, the underwater pranksters of the sea. They were like stealthy ninjas, sneaking up on unsuspecting anglers and giving them a shocking surprise. So, if you're looking for an adventure on the water. From diva snappers to dancing drummers, from shark scares to stingrays , it's a show that Mother Nature herself would applaud. Just remember to bring your sense of humor, and sunblock because you never know what surprises await you beneath the waves! Captain Brandon McAfee Frisky Reds Fishing Charters

Weekly Fishing Report June 26, 2023 Despite the hot weather, the fish seem to be biting like crazy. Red Snapper, Frisky Redfish and sharks. Maybe they're just trying to cool off in our A/C! And let's be honest, with the rough offshore conditions, it's like we're on a rollercoaster ride out there. Who needs Six Flags when you can get your adrenaline fix on a fishing boat? Just make sure to hold onto your hat (and your lunch)! And if you're lucky enough to catch a monster red snapper, make sure to take a picture and show it off to all your friends. Snapper Weekend!!!
June 18, 2023
Weekly fishing report Galveston,Tx Happy Fathers Day! It's been a bit of a rough week out on the water, with some offshore trips having to be cancelled due to high winds and seas. But we finally managed to get out there and let me tell you, it was worth the wait. Offshore, Capt Steve found the big red snapper and they were biting like crazy. These fish were bigger than my ex's attitude. It was a real workout, but the reward was some delicious snapper meat. Inshore, we caught some Frisky redfish, jacks, and catfish. And of course, we can't forget about the sharks. They were circling our boat like a bunch of highway workers standing around a hole in the ground. Short story Wind, waves, and a whole lot of fish. It's been a wild ride, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Until next time, tight lines and good luck out there! Book your next adventure with us! Frisky Reds Fishing Charters. May 1st th
May 2, 2023
Frisky Reds Fishing Charters Report May has been a challenging month for fishing due to a lot of windy days, but we have still managed to reel in some great catches. Blacktip sharks have been particularly active, with many being caught near the shore and around jetties. These sharks are known for their acrobatic jumps and fighting spirit, making them a popular target for sport fishermen. Redfish have also been biting well in May, especially in the early morning and late afternoon. These fish are known for their hard fight and delicious taste, making them a popular catch. We have had success using mullet, shad and blue crabs. Gafftop sail catfish have been another common catch in May, especially in the shallow flats and at the jetties. While not as prized as redfish or sharks, gafftops can still provide plenty of fun for anglers and are known for their strong runs and head-shaking fights. Finally, black drum have also been biting well in May, especially around oyster reefs and other structure. These fish are bottom feeders and can be caught using crab or shrimp on a bottom rig. Black drum are known for their size and strength, with some reaching over 50 pounds in weight. Overall, May has been a mixed bag for fishing, with some great catches of blacktip sharks, redfish, gafftop sail catfish, and black drum despite the windy conditions.
