At the moment it is early April and we have just finished 7 months of insanity, what do I mean by that? Well, this winter and off-season some changes have been made, some meaning an absolute tonnage! Our operation has grown and is now a full time 6-passenger yacht fishing experience. Our trips will now all be run on our 55 foot Hatteras Sportfishing yacht that just underwent a huge overhaul. Our mechanics have rebuilt our machinery giving you an efficient and safe platform to get out to the fish and back home! Myself and the crew have touched inside and out every detail of the boat, brand new machinery and electronics, brand new sleeping arrangements, brand new audio and lighting, bait tanks and fishing equipment. The season has arrived! Our fishing offshore on our full day trips is HOT! Amazing fishing on yellowtail, dorado, yellowfin tuna and bluefin tuna! We have even caught a few marlin! As the temps rise and summer comes in we are seeing exactly what we want to see and that is a TON of fish coming into our waters! Our schedule is booking up quick! Nows the time to book your offshore adventure! Full day offshore trips are where it is at for these fish! Our half days and 3/4 day trips are still seeing good bottom fishing and as the water warms the bass in the kelp beds are becoming more willing to bite as well!

Good afternoon anglers! This is Captain Dylan with AF Sportfishing, I want to check in and wish everyone a Happy New Year! As far as fishing goes, we have a few options for you currently to come out and enjoy a beautiful day in San Diego! Currently we are fishing half days and 3/4 days. Our half days locally are targetting Sand bass, Calico Bass, Sculpin and Halibut. Our 3/4 days are fishing the Coronado Islands and other water down below the border targetting Yellowtail, Rock cod, lingcod, and other bottom critters! We still have availability to go out and do some hoop netting for lobster! Our lobster trips head out in the evening hours pulling hoops for some California Spiny Lobster! Besides a few windy and cold days, the majority of our weather lately and in the future forecast has been norhing short of fantastic! Calm seas and hungry fish. Before you know it we will be setting up the gear to go target bluefin tuna as well! Now is the time to get on our schedule as trips are being booked fast!

Hello Anglers! Captain Dylan here with A.F Sportfishing, I wanted to give an update on our operations and recent fishing activity! We have been staying busy with our winter schedule of half day and 3/4 day fishing trips. Rockfish, lingcod, bass, halibut, sharks, rays just to name a few have been being brought up from the depths from our very happy anglers recently. Our recent half days in the bay have seen extremely good halibut fishing, with our last trip totalling 51 halibut caught and released and 3 kept for the dinner table! Our 3/4 days have been fishing some great rockfish, lingcod and other bottom species spots down in mexican waters! We will be fishing and booking trips through the winter into next year! Get some layers on, your favorite jacket and come catch some fish! Prices have dropped and the fish are biting. Dont let the cold keep you in!

On our last week of trips, our ocean has developed an amazing amount of yellowtail in our offshore waters! The yellowtail fishing has been the best of the whole year. We are expecting to ride this out and fish these things as far into the rest of the year as we can! Come get on an offshore fishing trip and catch your share of these beautiful fish!

These last few weeks of trips have been nothing short of incredible. We have been targetting Bluefin tuna ranging in all sorts of sizes. Fish from 15 pounds to 250 pounds have been caught. This week we spent more time fishing 15-50 pound grade fish. Almost everyday this week we finished our trip early with limits of bluefin tuna. Incredible stops fishing with live bait and lures. We even caught our first yellowfin of the season. Fishing is getting better and better daily and we are excited to see what comes our way. We have availabilty throughout July, August and September so get on it while its hot!
