With the warm weather and the spawn slowing, the fish want to eat and are shallow. Lately we have been catching post spawn fish with a few on the beds and a small percentage of late spawners. Topwaters have been the go-to as the shad spawn is in full swing. The bass are up shallow horging on shad early in the mornings then pulling back to the closest cover or structure.
