Late afternoon, on Saturday, June 7 new to Fishin Da Net charter customers Tanya, Connor, and Austin hopped on board to enjoy a charter fishing experience in Port Washington. They had a great time sharing stories and catching fish. They brought 12 coho salmon, 1 king salmon, and 1 rainbow trout to Da Net to bring home with them. We also released one small coho salmon to grow. Fish were caught on a variety of lures, including size 00 orange dodger with a peanut fly, 8 inch flasher with a fly, and spoons. Depths of 25-40 feet of water were what we targeted for the coho salmon. We moved to deeper water in 90-110 feet of water for the king salmon for the last hour of the trip. Fishing in Port Washington is on fire right now! Limit catches of coho salmon with king salmon and rainbow trout in the mix are being caught consistently. I went out for an evening trip last night with a couple friends. We caught two beautiful king salmon around sunset after catching eleven coho salmon and a two rainbow trout. Book your charter fishing trip now while the fishing is great! I love to take kids fishing and try to teach charter customers a few tricks of the trade during out trip. Happy New Year! Recently, I went on a brown trout fishing trip on Lake Michigan in Port Washington, WI with my brother and a good friend. The brown trout were hungry! We kept our 3 man limit of 15 and caught and released the biggest brown trout of the day while winding in lines. Great fishing! Brown trout are great eating and fun to catch. I baked a couple of the fish we caught the other day and they were great tasting indeed! If you want to try fishing for winter or early spring brown trout, give me a call.
