Port Washington is a nice town. If you're leaving on a morning trip, staying at the Harborview Hotel overlooking the marina is very convenient.

Schedule early in advance and watch the weather. We don’t get sea sick but a lot of people do so just bring what you need so you can enjoy your fishing.

Bring a jacket because it does get cooler on the water as evening falls. We gave our kids Dramamine just to be safe. The boat was rocking enough to make the kids sleepy after a long day.

It’s a great town but if you’re pulling your boat in to fish on your own, get to the launch early in the morning. Sam’s Bait Box is a 10 minute drive away and she has a lot of knowledge about what the hot bite is and what you can use to catch fish.

Said best time to fish is May and late fall cause the bite is crazy then. The fish move to deeper water in June.

Bring some warm clothes, it can get cold out on the big lake. Also bring sunglasses and sun screen. Expect to take a lot of pictures.
Motion sickness pills are not a bad idea.

Hiring an experience charter fishing trip makes catching fish in Lake Michigan a very easy, exciting and memorable experience!
