Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads out there! Yesterday we had 3 generations aboard GOOD DAY, regular guests father and son Rene & Corbin together with father in law/grandpa Guy who was with us for the first time. We left the dock early and headed to an Offshore reef to try for Wahoo, disappointingly we didn’t even get a bite. We pushed to deeper water & missed a couple of Sailfish bites & pulled another off before we reached the Tuna school which had popped up close to home. Guy & Rene both caught solid Tunas of around 60 & 50lb to end the day on a high, they will be eating well this Fathers Day! Huge happy Birthday to Corbin who is 12 today! He didn’t catch any monsters yesterday, just some bonitos but he demonstrates incredible patience & love for the ocean each time he joins us aboard GOOD DAY ??

A nice day on the water today with the Lee family from Georgia joining us aboard GOOD DAY. We started well catching some Dorados on a current break 14 miles Offshore. We spent a couple of hours looking for billfish but no luck on that front and finished the trip up with some bottom fishing in 300’, at a couple of different spots 20 miles Offshore. Catch Report 5 Dorados 3 Silky Snappers 2 Snowy Groupers 1 Tuna Mackerel/Pacific Bonito 1 Grunt 2 Tilefish Back out there tomorrow, wish us luck!! ???

We had some nice bottom fishing during todays Offshore trip aboard GOOD DAY with Silky Snappers, Groupers (Snowy & Northern), Fortune Jack plus some other bottom dwellers. We searched for some Dorados & Sails but no luck on that front. Back out there tomorrow! ??

Some XL sized Dorados have been out there this past couple of weeks & we caught a 60” stunner during yesterdays 1/2 day Offshore trip with Brian, Kristina, Jacob & Matthew from Texas joining us aboard GOOD DAY. We also got into some Sailfish with Jacob & Matthew each catching a Sailfish apiece & we missed/lost a few more. Catch Report 2 for 5 Sailfish 1 big Dorado (60” & 40lb plus)

10 Dorados & 1 Sailfish for us today aboard GOOD DAY here at Marina Pez Vela Costa Rica. Some stunning Bull Dorados out there today and we caught two solid fish of 59” & 58”. Great to have the Apollonio Family with us who were just a blast, if the Dorados had not been enough you should have seen Nick’s face when he tagged & released his 1st ever Sailfish! ???
