Black Snapper II
This was our 2nd fishing trip on The Bucket List with Jeff and Jose. Fantastic fishing, excellent captain and crew. They worked very hard to put us on the fish. Constantly working the lines and bait. Helped some in our party to learn how to REEL in the big fish. Lunch, drinks and snacks were plentiful! Caught 7 sailfish…..we will be back!

It can be hot on the water, but the captain will have plenty of cold drinks and shade. make use of both. and hold on this fish are strong….trust the crew they are experts and will not steer you wrong!

If you dont know Spanish request a captain w good english. Otherwise it can be a long quiet day.
Ask in advance how you need to pay-cash or card. tip in cash so make sure you have enough.
not all boats have a toilet. Ask.
ask if boat has live bait or if you need to catch it. saves time if boat already has bait.
small boats dont have a lot of shade. bring lots of sunscreen and at least long sleeve shirts.
4 hr trip ok for younger kids. 6 hrs too long.

Please be sure to wear a sunblock fishing hoodie, sunglasses, and apply sunscreen. The UV levels are very high in this area of Costa Rica. That said, the boat does have plenty of shade for comfort.

Wahoo Sport Fishing Quepos – Wahoo
The marina was really nice and easy to get to using Waze. There was a secure parking garage and the shops were nice and the dock area very well maintained. Parts were newly constructed We were impressed!
