We are managing to catch despite late spring/early summer challenging conditions. From racing thunderstorms home to tropical storm force winds on a bluebird day, it's been an adventure. To that end, I'm amazed at the distance anglers are travelling just to fish with me. I am humbled and committed to making your trip worth the money and effort. Please, when you are travelling hours to fish, send a message or call the evening before. Often we can adjust our meeting location or start time to make the trip worthy, or if a blow-out or wash-out is imminent, we can re-schedule or cancel altogether with a complete refund. As an angler said the other morning, "I'd rather be on the dock wishing I was on the water, than on the water wishing I was on the dock!" Amen, Aloha

Despite challenging weather this last week sharks are getting easier to find. Just in time as shark trips are booking fast. Now is the time to pick your spot and tussle with a big one.

Usually by now shark and whiting are the mainstays but the inshore sport fishing has been so good the last two weeks that the sharks have just had to wait. Despite breezy spring conditions finding multiple flounder catches have not been hard, punctuated by bluefish blitzes and a few striper/rockfish hanging around the structure. Will start focusing on the inlet this week. Stay tuna'd, Aloha!

Mike Johns and crew put 7 keepers in the box including a tournament contending 3lb 14oz flattie currently holding down 4th place. The tournament runs through Sunday 5/5. I still have spots open if you'd like to get in on the fun. Aloha, T.

Despite chilly conditions hanging on, the flounder have arrived in Chincoteague. As conditions moderate and spring continues to set in, the bite will only improve. But! if you plan to fish in the next two weeks plan to bundle up for the chilly and breezy spring conditions. Aloha, T

Keeping with tradition, for those few really cold weeks after the holidays, we make the shift from fishermen to waterfowlers. Scooping birds, chasing injured, deploying and picking up decoys, and moving parties from blind to blind. All done in weather you would hesitate to walk your dog in. It is an addictive winter activity that I love doing and love even more when it's over!
