Although rapidly warming waters have jump started the summer shark fishery, we are still getting a nu m bee of 4 pound plus flounder. Also picked up a surprise tautog at one of the bridges. Still have Wednesday and Saturday mornings open this week so get on the water and catch some. Aloha

Takin' It To The Limit

Flounder bite right now is as good as this Captain has seen it. Almost everyone has gone home with an ample dinner with plenty of limits mixed in. If you'd like to try your luck I have a few remaining openings in the next two weeks so give me a shout. Aloha!

The recent bite of flounder is as good as we've seen. Numerous limits and even release of keeper size fish. Action should hold 2-3 more weeks and by then we should be transitioning to summer fishing and sharks. See ya out there, aloha!

Recharging the batteries

At the end of a very busy season the thought of standing waist deep in a chilly river while a cool north wind brings leaves down around you is irresistible. Add 30-40 lb. Salmon on fly and we'll, I just gotta go! October is Salmon month and November is Steelhead month. If you have an interest in pursuing one of these classics let me know, maybe we can schedule a meet-up for next fall.

End of Summer, Fall into fishing

The transition has begun, as the sharks pull out being replaced by trout and flounder. A rather warm autumn seems to be holding off the rockfish (striped bass) but the steady bite of trout and flounder will keep us busy until cooler weather arrives. In the surf large redfish rule the day. I will try my luck today then off to the Great Lakes for the salmon run. Stay tuna'd, Aloha
