Tis the season to be catching. It's May now, temps are warming and fish are hungry. The mahi are showing up now and the red snapper bite is off the chain offshore. Grouper season opened May 1st and we've been having some good luck with keeper red grouper lately. Snook and redfish are also back at Sebastian inlet tearing up the live baits. June 1st ends snook season so jump on while you still can. Don't forget about Red Snapper season July **hidden content**.

The month of March has been up and down. There's so many different factors that mess with a fisherman but that's what makes it so much more exciting when you do land that big fish. We've had some high winds and rough seas most days but we're still able to find a few decent fish, plus there's been some dredging going on in Sebastian Inlet and that has seemed to push out our big resident snook. Sebastian Inlet has been slow on the snook and redfish bite since February. There's been a few snook and redfish caught in the inlet but you have to bring lots of bait, leader, and hooks because the schools of bluefish are relentless on the baits and tackle. If you're into keeper bluefish and lots of action then that's definitely the place to go right now. Tripletail are being caught on the crab pots all throughout the lagoon and pompano have been found in good numbers near the inlet. The big migrating manta rays have just recently shown up schooling off the beach near Sebastian this week and they're holding some decent cobia with them. Also there have been many blacktip and spinner sharks up and down the beach.

Well, just like hunting, the season opens and the targeted species disappears. The snook have rarely been seen around Sebastian Inlet this month, because of the water temps. There have been plentiful amounts of bluefish and Spanish mackerel though. This past week was the battle with the blues. We had the bluefish all over us but finally managed to pull in some nice big bull redfish. When going to the inlet make sure to bring lots of leader and a bunch of bait cause the blues will each you alive. The offshore bite is turning on again. Water temps were down in the low 60's but have finally come up in the 70's now, so fish are biting once again. The cobia have already started showing up from Canaveral down to Ft. Pierce so tackle up cause them fish will put a whooping on ya.

January has been extremely well this new year of 2019. The snook and redfish bite has been amazing on the inshore. It doesn't take long at all for that rod to bend and that drag to start screaming. The winter season always brings the high winds, big waves, and cold weather though. When mother nature has allowed us we've been able to get offshore a bit and the bottom fishing bite has been fantastic as well. We've been catching large amounts of big red snapper, triggerfish, and lane snapper. February 1st is coming soon and that means snook season will be back in, so don't miss out on a chance to bring home a couple nce snook filets.

This week was pretty good, we did a little inshore and a little offshore. The big bull redfish have been pretty consistent at Sebastian Inlet as well as them big snook and big jack crevalle. The offshore reefs are holding plentiful amounts of Lane snapper.
