we were a little concerned the day before when we realized we get to our boat from the beach via water taxi! Dont be concerned it is well run and professional— just the way it gets done.

Fishing Herradura
This Captain sends a water taxi to pick you up on the beach. We stayed at the Marriott, walked 3 minutes from our room to the beach, and were picked up at 6:00 am by the water taxi. Unbelievably convenient!

Have fished Quepos which is fabulous. This was my first time to Puerto Jimenez and it did not disappoint. An incredible experience.

Black Snapper II
7am halfday trip started out slow, but ended up catching 5 mahi mahi by the end. We also caught a couple of smaller fish that we threw back.

Only going 5 stars here because Noah was so good - he put us on fish all day. He worked hard. I suspect if we didn't have such a good captain, we may have had more trouble catching. He was on fish all day. We saw a few roosters in the morning, but couldn't land one...the Amberjacks were very aggressive and hit before the Roosters. He put us on a big school of snapper and on fish when we jigged at the end of the day.

there is no marina or dock. be orepared to board water taxi from beach. the support and environment is basic. its a sleepy fishing nook.. juan is as good as it gets in this area and experienced .

Flamingo Beach Bay Watersport
Great Boat and got us on the meat early with yellow grouper and tile fish, caught maybe 25 then a 100lb sailfish and a 50lb bull Mahi Mahi. Our geoup of 20 for tonights and best fish i have ever eaten. I know that doesnt happen evdey day but crew was switching bait and lures every 10 minutes until we found what worked.
