i would recommend booking a longer trip with this guide. We were limited on time and only booked the three hour trip, but i wish we'd fish with him longer.

It’s the start of the rainy season so plan appropriately. Highly recommend good gear to manage both sun and rain. After a very successful day 1, weather changed our day 2 plans and we struggled to get on the fish.

CATTAN SPORT FISHING PANAMA
As long as your expectations are for Peacock Bass you will be very pleased. Other species were absent from our trip. We did catch one Oscar cichlid.

We took our own suspender life vests, long sleeve SPF fishing shirts AND pants, plus hoodies and sunscreen. You will do fine with shorts and a wide brim hat.

Remember that roosters and other nightly sought after fish are very season dependent and daily condition dependent. At the end of the day it’s fishing, have to go out and try but if you don’t get exactly what you want, that’s why it’s fishing.
