Two couples looking for a fun day while on vacation in Oceanside, Ca. We started trolling for a Mako Shark (great eating) for about 1.5 hours with no luck so went in shore to fish for Calico Bass for dinner. In the last 10 mins. of fishing time one of the lady's hook up a Thresher Shark. It was a 9 minute fight because we were fishing with 15 # line. It was lucky is was hooked the corner of the mouth with only a #4 hook. End of the trip they caught and released 14 Bass and went home with the thresher and Calico bass for dinner.

Customer wanted Halibut and we tried for 2 hours with no luck so went on to fish for Calico Bass and Sheephead. We caught and released 60 Calicos in a little over 2 hours. We kept 2 Sheepshead and 2 Calico Bass. Fun day on the water

We were fishing for Rockcod and Sanddabs in 250-300'. Nice calm ocean. After catching 6 Rockcod and 14 Sandabs we headed back to the harbor and saw a Big Sunfish just laying around. We also saw a large pod of Common Dolphin.
