Fresh White Bear Lake Fishing Reports

Muskie opener is only a couple weeks away, and I couldn't be more excited! The weather this spring is shaping up to be an incredible start to the muskie season. A nice stretch of weather before opener will have weed growth looking really good. I expect the 35-42 inch males will be using the weeds and the big females will be in open water! One thing I love about early season musky fishing is that the fish can be anywhere from the shallow weedy flats, out into open water basins, and everywhere in between. Walleyes and bass are active on the deep weeds. We're getting them with a very simple tactic, the Ned rig! Probably one of the easiest ways to catch fish! Musky opener is approaching quickly and things are looking great for the opener. I still have a few dates availabe in June!
