Inland fishing has nice calm and shallow water. Also great sight seeing for birds, manatee, dolphins. It's nice to just hang out on a boat. Bring snacks, drinks and sunscreen. You're also near to docks if you need to hop out to use the bathroom, or just decide you want to cut things short. Great for first time fishing experience.

For me as an inexperienced angler I recommend just be prepared to enjoy the day out on the water and be surprised by what takes your hook. Also sunscreen!
