Good variety of fish to bring up. Croaker, pigfish, fluke, spot, kingfish. Keeps your lines tugging while you wait for the shark line to pull.

End of season fishing for flounder water is getting too warm and a storm kicked up the bay but we caught some small striped bass(rock), sea trout and spot. But what a surprise when I hooked a 4 ft. Dusky Shark which really put up quite a fight. I had never experienced anything quite like that and Captain Tim talked me through it until I finally got the shark to the side of the boat for him to lift into the boat ...Wow!!

Sharks were biting the best this morning, there were storms the week before we arrived. So I believe the water was a bit chilly. Was fun fighting sharks though!

On top of sunscreen and a small cooler, bring a gym towel for your face and hands. If going clamming, extra socks and a pair of sandals for after.

Use a variety of bait; Book a charter boat to get the best experience (wider area= more chance of catching 'the big one'.

Rember that fishing isn't always successful, be patient and remember that the guide can only place you where they usually are and give you the tools/equipment needed, but in the end it's the fishes decision to bite. Enjoy the experience and take what comes or doesn't and be gracious to your guide, they try their best.

Book the Shark trip with Tim Walch. Book the Clam/Crab/Fish trip with Tim Walch. Order the broiled Seafood Platter at The Village restaurant. Stay at Comfort Suites or The Marina Bay-Ascend Hotel. I stayed at both & both were exceptional. Steve's bait shop has everything you need if you want to shore fish while you are there.
