The middle of August with water temps in the mid-90's isn't the greatest time of the year to book a fishing trip on Holmes Beach. That said, we caught plenty of fish, including trout, Ladyfish, redfish, even catfish on our 6-hour charter. Certainly not like fishing for Redfish or Tarpon during their peak seasons, but successful and fun nonetheless.

AMI Book'em And Hook'em Fishing
It was definitely hot and the water temp was high, so I didn’t have high expectations. But captain found plenty of fish and we had a great day.

Look at the reviews and communicate with the captain prior to your trip. Make sure anyone in your group that has never been out is prepared for sea sickness take preventative measures ahead of time.

Landing Zone Fishing Charters
Book your trip as early as possible, maybe even before you arrive. Morning trips are great because it’s easier to get live bait, but this evening trip did not disappoint. We filled the cooler with Sheepshead, Trout and White Grunts.

This time of year, when the water is warm, may cause fish to be lazy. Bottom feeders are the ones to fish for. Water was so warm, even the barracuda 10’ under the boat was not moving. It was a great time. Caught snapper, yellowtail (those are mostly in the keys), dogfish, and plenty of grouper. Was a great time.
