Research your guide choice, ask what fish the guide is consistently catching, follow fishing reports from other guides, monitor the weather and dress appropriately show interest while fishing and stay committed to the end of the trip. My last retrieve of the day produced my bucket list fish. Take photos to remember the adventure !

Be patient. Be prepared for cold, rainy weather. Bring water, hats, lip balm. Follow the Skipper's suggestions and you'll have a wonderful time catching fish.
Oh, also, we were very lucky, of course. When fishing, no one can guarantee that you'll catch anything! The only sure way to catch a fish is to have someone throw a fish to you!

Make sure you dress in layers. We had to turn away from the sun. Even though it was about 66 degrees out. Away from the sun felt like 50. So wear layers!! That way if you are warm you can take some off but always over dress.

Lower Niagara River Charters
Perch, walleye, small mouth bass, large mouth bass salmon. Captain Greg Rousch is a great captain and fishing guide. Buffalo Bass Man charters is the way to go.

Go with Captain Thomas Pearse! But bring some extra storage bags if you want to split up the fish once they are done...bring a cooler to bring home fish in...our Captain had ice for us to put in our cooler, but we brought packs just in case they didn't. Don't forget your fishing license. Plan ahead on knowing what the weather would be like. We knew there would be rain, but our Captain was on top of the pattern and we stayed clear of it. Be ready to have fun.

The Walleye fishing is amazing in July. There was a Walleye tournament going on while we were fishing but plenty of room for everyone

Be ready to go after what is biting. Early July can be great for Walleye and Smallmouth, but also for Salmon and Trout. Our guide knew the Salmon and Trout were doing better. The Walleye numbers had not moved in from the west yet. We listened to his report and decided to go for the Salmon and Trout. Glad we did.

Keep in contact with your captain. April showers can screw up a fishery so be flexible on your date plan a three day stay if you can with your trip in the middle that way you can adjust a day before or a day after if your Captain see fit
