This morning, I took my group out early on the Knik River. The air was cool, and the water was calm—perfect conditions for fishing. I could tell everyone was eager to catch some silver salmon and sockeye salmon. I met them with a big smile, happy to share that the fish were biting well this season. We got our gear ready: rods, tackle, and a short “what to expect” speech to start the day right. Once we got on the river, I showed them the best spots where I often see salmon moving.
