This morning on the Knik River, Capt. Doug and his anglers were greeted by a truly stunning Alaskan sunrise—brilliant streaks of gold and pink lit up the sky as he motored along the calm waters. The air was brisk, and while the excitement was high, the silver salmon proved a bit elusive today. The bite was a little slow, but patience paid off as we managed to land a few beautiful silvers, their scales sparkling in the soft dawn light. Even on quieter days like this, it’s the peaceful beauty of the river at sunrise that reminds me why we love guiding in Alaska.
