Trip Summary

September is coming to a close and it left me scratching my head most of the month. But, we still got bit and put a few first ever muskies in the boat, including this one we got 20 minutes into the morning yesterday. With the cooling trend in the forecast, I'd expect it to be a great start to October.

We're still getting fish on bucktails and spinnerbaits, but water temps are into the 50s now and livebait is a viable option now. I've seen giant muskies show up more and more frequently. These are incredibly smart creatures when they are old and big, livebait is a great way to fool a mega giant!

October is starting off in the right direction! With unseasonably warm weather the last month, we finally get a cool down and the fish are getting active! We're getting them on bucktails and topwater and I'd expect that to continue for another 2 - 3 weeks.
