Tough fishing today. Worked hard to put 12 crappie onboard, but only 5 keepers. Additional catches included largemouth bass, white bass, yellow bass, catfish, and bluegill. Fishing will improve as the water cools.

A tough bite in-between rain squalls and gusty winds kept us in protected, sheltered locations. However, we managed to boat several largemouth and white bass , 8 crappie, and a channel catfish. Most were caught trolling crankbaits and jigs set to run at 12- 16 foot depths. All fish were released. **hidden content**

A mixed bag, but generally a very slow day in Chickamauga with with several crappie, 1 largemouth bass, 2 white bass, 1 small drum, and several yellow bass. In addition, we lost one big bass which broke the line, then jumped and threw the crankbait so at least we got a chance to see him. Water temperature 81 and will get hotter next week so we might have to wait awhile for crappie fishing to pick up.
