Trip Summary

Kite fished along the reef yesterday and had solid action throughout the day — caught a few mahi on the kite, hooked into a sailfish, and added a nice mutton snapper and a mackerel to the mix. Great variety and plenty of bites on the edge!

We battled over 20 knots of wind offshore looking for a sailfish, but with the kite bite quiet, we shifted our focus to the edge of the reef. The move paid off with steady action, landing cobia, mackerel, a giant triggerfish, and a trophy-size yellowtail snapper.
