Trip Summary

Nothing says relationship goals like two people slinging baits side by side! Today’s couples proved that fishing together is the ultimate test of patience—and teamwork. There was some friendly competition, a few “help me with this knot” moments, and at least one debate over whose fish was actually bigger. In the end, everyone left smiling, sun-kissed, and maybe just a little more in love… or at least in love with catching fish! - Captain Austin

Redfish and Trout Action on St. Johns
Redfish and Trout Action on St. Johns
September 1, 2026
Here’s a FishingBooker-ready September report: Writing ? SEPTEMBER IS HERE — AND THE FISH ARE HUNGRY! September is one of my favorite months to fish the St. Johns River and Downtown Jacksonville. The summer heat is finally starting to loosen its grip, and the fish are responding! Redfish have been keeping rods bent, with everything from slot-sized fish to big bruisers showing up. Speckled trout are getting more active, black drum are in the mix, and you never know what else is going to grab the bait next. Early mornings have been the ticket. We’re fishing light tackle around structure, creek mouths, drop-offs, and moving water while keeping an eye out for bait. Find the groceries and you’ll usually find something looking to eat them! The best part about September fishing in Jacksonville is the variety. One minute you're working on a nice keeper fish and the next you're hanging onto the rod wondering what freight train just picked up your bait. ?? Whether you're an experienced angler or have never held a fishing rod before, September is a great time to get on the water. We provide the gear, bait, ice, water, and plenty of questionable captain humor. Come see why fishing the St. Johns River with the Downtown Jacksonville skyline in the background is such a unique experience. September dates are open — come professionally bother some fish with Tannic Water Adventures! ?? — Capt. Austin Tannic Water Adventures
