Trip Summary

Late fall is a great time to target muskies with livebait! Cold temps call for a technique called "dragging suckers". We use 14 inch live suckers for a couple of reasons, one being its a grwat food source for muskies. And two, it allows us to fish without casting when the temperatures are cold. We're still getting fish on bucktails and spinnerbaits, but water temps are into the 50s now and livebait is a viable option now. I've seen giant muskies show up more and more frequently. These are incredibly smart creatures when they are old and big, livebait is a great way to fool a mega giant!
