Trip Summary

The winds were up and the mahi were a little farther out but we were able to find a couple of them before turning back. And on the way in a nice blue marlin came in and grabbed a 9” bullet off the long rigger, made a couple jumps and shook the hook. Heart breaker but our guys still had a great time! We have an afternoon half day open Monday, book now!

Our guest Luyang wanted to catch a mahi for gyutaku, fish print, for his collection. Well he picked the right day and the right boat and got 4 mahis of which he had a gyutaku done by local artist, Naoki, of a big bull and a smaller female mahi. A great way to forever remember a fishing trip aboard Playn Hooky!
