Weekly roundup
Tuna mayhem offshore in the last week, with an epic weather window helping a lot of people get amongst it. Huge numbers of longtail being caught out the front, with large numbers being caught along the Teewah stretch, up to DI. Also, a good week on the Spanish Mackerel, with large numbers at Sunshine wide, North Reef and Coffees. Must be quick, though, the sharks are also around in huge numbers!
Reefies have also been getting pulled up in strong numbers, with Goldband, Snapper, Pearlies, and trout being major players. Sunshine, North reef, and Coffees producing good numbers of reef fish.
In the river, fishing has been excellent in the lower reaches still, after all the rain we had in recent times. Trevally, Queenfish, Flathead, Mangrove Jacks and whiting, all showing up in good numbers recently. The upper reaches have been fishing well, also. As seen in the photos, Daniel, his son Leo, and Lenex got onto the flathead up near Lake Cooroibah, even got Leo a solid Shovel Nose! Scott and Oli also pulling a Lizard from the Tewantin stretch.
Thanks to **hidden content** for keeping us in the loop with what’s biting where. These guys have been fishing these waters for decades, and know them better than anyone, so if you’re planning on heading out, get in touch with them.
