Trip Summary
Good day on the reef with steady spring conditions — light wind early, manageable seas, and clear enough water over the structure to get a solid read on the bottom. Current was moving just right, setting up perfect drift conditions over the hard spots.
The mangrove snapper bite was the highlight. We worked the reef structure and picked away at quality fish, staying patient and putting together a solid box. Every good drop had life, and once the bite dialed in, it stayed consistent enough to keep the rods bending.
Along with the snapper action, we had steady reef activity throughout the day — grunts, porgies, and other bottom life keeping things active between bites.
Simple, steady reef fishing done right — good conditions, quality snapper, and a productive day on the water.
