Ran a morning trip and an afternoon trip today, and both groups stayed on the fish. The trout bite was consistent throughout the day, with black drum mixed in during the morning trip. Croaker was the bait of choice, and the fish were holding in deeper water early before becoming more active as conditions improved. Both crews went home with fish and plenty of memories. What an incredible day on the water with Jacek and his 8-year-old son! The young man stayed hooked up all day and showed everyone on the boat how it's done. We covered multiple locations, mixed up techniques, and put together an action-packed trip with several different species hitting the deck. The early bite didn't disappoint! We found hungry trout first thing this morning, then slid over to some stacked-up black drum and went to work.
