Trip Summary
Trip Summary
On May 28, we headed south and began working the 3-mile line parallel to the coast, an area that has been producing consistent action in recent days.
While trolling off Chileno Bay, a striped marlin aggressively struck one of our favorite “petrolero” lures and stayed hooked. After an exciting fight, we successfully brought the fish to the boat, making it the highlight of the day.
During the run back toward Cabo San Lucas, we had one more opportunity when a wahoo attacked a ballyhoo bait. The fish made a powerful strike, cut the bait, and escaped before we could come tight.
