Trip Summary

Group from Louisiana hung tough and kept fishing strong as the tiny ship was tossed in 4 to 6+ seas and 15 - 20 knot winds. Caught a variety of fish. Red Snapper, Triggerfish, Mingo Snapper, Spanish Mackerel and Bonita. Gotta hand it to them. The captain didn't care to be out in such conditions.

The Gulf of America has been a Jeckyll and Hyde the last few days. Rough Monday, calm yesterday, elevated again today. Had a 12 passenger crew that survived a morning 6 hour trip bringing in some really nice Mangrove Snappers, Red Snapper, Red Grouper, Mingo Snapper, and Almaco Jack. After yesterday's endurance test, the seas were back calm. Our crew enjoyed a mild morning 5 hour trip with the cloud cover keeping things cool. Started out with a little trolling catching 2 Spanish Mackerel then switched to some near shore bottom fishing and caught some lunch, Red Snapper, Mangrove Snapper to cook at the restaurant. 6/16/26.

War Eagle! Our group endured a rough 6 hour morning as the wind and seas were whipping about. Captain was ready to throw in the towel, but they kept fishing, and were able to manage 9 Red Snappers. Way to hang on crew. Perseverance prevailed. I wasn't going back out there. Go Gators BTW. 6/15/26.
