Trip Summary

Great action out of Frankfort this morning, solo. The lake finally settled after a week of wind, and the kings were ready to feed. We ran north from the harbor and found a solid early‑summer push of salmon in 120 feet of water. Went 5 for 5 on kings with a limit by 7:20 AM. The Black Screwball spoon was the hot setup, firing twice within the first minute of being in the water. Biggest fish of the morning was 18 pounds, a strong mid‑June king and a good sign for the season ahead. Conditions were 2’ or less with an ESE wind, and the bite was fast at first light. June dates are filling quickly — message the captain to book your trip.
