Trip Summary

Was a bit slow on the start of this trip, the Reds weren't where they had been the day before and the schools of Black Drum had disappeared also. So we started the process of elimination, we fished one spot where we were able to hook up on a couple of Drum and then moved on to try for the Redfish. After several attempts at spots that typically produce we moved to a spot that I usually didn't utilize for Red's but it turned out well and produced multiple Slot Reds (upper slot) and some nice Snook.

The Bull Reds are on the run, action has been hot and heavy, along with a little bi-catch of Snook and Tarpon it can be an eventful trip. It is that time of year and you never can tell when it will end. Don’t hesitate to get your trip in ASAP. Book out of Ponce Inlet or Port Orange.

This Barracuda was caught on 10 lb tackle while battling our 2nd Permit of the morning. We were attempting to land the Permit at the side of the boat when the cuda came out from underneath and took the Permit and 100 yds. Of line. We managed to keep him hooked up during the time it took to clear all lines and get the boat on him. After 30 min we managed to get 1/3 of him in the net. Caught our largest Bull of the season - 46" long but over 50lb. Check out the photo it was a slob.
