Trip Summary

With Red Snapper and Gag Grouper just around the corner we have seen excellent results on Catch and Release especially with the Red Snapper up to 35” on 10 hour trips and longer. King Mackerel up to 35 lbs and Spanish mackerel to 6 lbs have been prevalent from just off the beach to our deep on half day trips and longer. The Red Grouper (caught up to 13 lbs) bite has gotten much better especially on our Full Day trips and longer in 100 feet and deeper as well as some nice Mangrove Snapper to 6 lbs. Blackfin Tuna have been making their show as close in as 60-70 feet on 3/4 day trips and longer. Cobia, Barracuda, Lane, vermillion snapper grunts and porgies all in 40 feet and deeper. Amberjack season opened May 1st and can be found in 70 feet and deeper on wrecks and ledges on 1/2 day and longer trips. On the deep springs 12 hour trips African pompano and yellowtail snapper as well.
